National Women�s Organizations

In the 70s and 80s, women in Newfoundland and Labrador helped to shape federal policies through their involvement in a number of national women�s organizations. These included the National Action Committee (NAC) on the Status of Women, the Canadian Abortion Rights Action League (CARAL), the National Council of Women, and the Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women (CRIAW)
